CareerTek Explore Trades Hands-On After School Program

Mid-States Concrete Industries has established an annual partnership with Hendricks CareerTek to provide a six-week program for students in grades six-nine. The program focuses on exploration and skill growth in the world of construction.

The program offers students an opportunity to review piece drawings, mark out formwork, learn about quality control procedures, build formwork, pour concrete into the formwork, and strip the pieces. Kids are encouraged to use small power tools, layout dimensions using a tape measure, and have conversations about precast manufacturing with our team of professionals assisting them on their project.
