Humbucker Apartments

Madison, WI
Humbucker is a 75 unit, nine-story total precast apartment building popular among University of Wisconsin- Madison students. Working against the clock to complete the building prior to the start of the school year, precast concrete wall panels and hollowcore were used due to speed of installation. This unique building, which also includes a below-grade parking structure, was erected in just 12 weeks in the middle of winter (check out the video below). The architectural finish on the exterior of the building is colored concrete with an acid etched finish.
