Accomplishments
Raising three amazing children into responsible, contributing, independent adults with my amazing wife. All three are in college, with our oldest graduating Spring of 2025.
Working with Craftsman with Character this year was extremely rewarding, watching the kids grow and gain a sense of direction for their lives. Community partners were amazing; didn’t have a single partner company say “no” when asked to participate.

Off the Clock
Family vacations, pickleball, and continuing to enjoy the empty-nester lifestyle for at least nine months of the year, which includes vacations without the kiddos!
Secret Life
Wife and I enjoy tent camping, walking around Lake Geneva, and going to stockcar races at Jefferson, Madison International, and Dells Speedway.

BRAD MCCASLIN

Accomplishments
Instructor at the United States Marine Corps Engineer School. Awarded two Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals. I’ve had the honor of working on several local projects for Mid-States including the Boys and Girls Club, ABC Supply Stadium, Lincoln Academy, and Wright & Wagner Lofts. Father of three amazing kids. My four-year-old thinks she’s 30 and keeps me on my toes.

I enjoy golfing, fishing, the outdoors, and drinking a cold beer with friends and family, usually while golfing or fishing.
Secret Life
I am a huge history nerd. I’m working my way through the Presidential autobiographies - my favorite so far being Ulysses S. Grant.
RYAN DESMOND
Project Manager
Accomplishments
Over 10 years with Mid-States. While being a foreman I got the opportunity to install a couple of Mid-States’ biggest projects including Ellinwood and Wicker Park. Father of two children and husband to an amazing wife.
Off the Clock
I enjoy spending time with the family, vacations, golf, or out on the boat. I also enjoy fulfilling my wife’s DIY projects while renovating our river home.

ALLEN COTA

With over 20 years of experience in the tower industry, I’ve dedicated the last decade to serving as a Senior Safety Advisor. My primary focus is on ensuring safety and quality across all projects, approaching each task with care and precision.
Off the Clock
I’m passionate about spending time with my family and friends and expanding my car collection. I’m also committed to philanthropic efforts, always looking for ways to give back to those in need. My beloved bulldog, Trump, keeps me company and brings joy to my days.
I’m known for my lighthearted approach to life. I’m a big fan of dad jokes and often find humor in everyday moments, like watching kids stumble as they learn to walk. I believe that a blend of expertise, kindness, and humor makes for a fulfilling life and successful career.
WENDY MENDIOLA

I have been with Mid-States for 21 years doing various jobs in the Production/Shipping/Scheduling Department. My current title is Field Scheduling Manager. I come from a long line of family members who have devoted many years at Mid-States.

Proud mother of two sons and one daughter. Enjoy all kinds of music. I enjoy getting together with family for any occasion.
ERIC LEWIS

Accomplishments
Pretty much completely flipped the current house we are in, very proud of the work I’ve done! Led my son’s basketball team to an undefeated season a few years back. Go Bulls!
Extracurricular
My oldest is in club soccer, so lots of practices and games all week long. We’ve had tournaments in the Chicago area, St. Louis, and Minneapolis. We might be going to Arizona in the spring and possibly Portugal in 2026.
Off the Clock
Going on walks and bike rides with the family, building forts with my two sons. The boys are big into WWE, so watching that on Friday night and having the occasional match right in our own living room.
Secret Life
My great-grandfather was a decorated World War I veteran in Poland and moved to the United States after the war. He was credited with many heroic acts of bravery and even has part of an exhibit dedicated to him in the Polish Museum of America in Chicago.
