Vice President of Finance
Accomplishments
By far, my greatest accomplishments have been my marriage of 15+ years to my best friend and beautiful wife, Ereka, and together raising our four amazing children. Following would be graduating with honors (Cum Laude) from Upper Iowa University in 2011 with a BASc degree, majoring in Accounting, and advancing my career over the years which was made possible only by the grace of God and a few people He has placed in my life who have given me mentorship and opportunities to which I am forever grateful.
Extracurricular
In the summer and fall, I help coach my youngest son’s baseball teams. As a father of four, that’s about all the extracurricular time I get.
Off the Clock
In my spare time I enjoy fishing with my oldest son, Madden; shopping local department stores for the latest yard inflatables with my middle son, Grayson; playing baseball in the yard with my youngest son, Bowen; and touring our backyard chickens and garden with my daughter, Ellie. I also enjoy vacationing and traveling across the country in our motorhome with my family, golfing, hiking, hunting, fishing, woodworking, kayaking, and trail riding our side-by-side.
Secret Life
I’ve always been enthralled with airplanes since I was a little kid and have always wanted to get my pilots license, but I’m too afraid I’ll crash.

Corporate Controller
Accomplishments
I’ve been with International Concrete Products and Mid-States since 2021. I am proud to be part of a team that constructs the buildings in our communities. It’s pretty cool to work side-by-side with the people that made the precast for iconic stadiums like Lambeau Field and Miller Park. I am the past President of the Milwaukee Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
Extracurricular
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Lisa, and two sons. Weekends consist of helping out on the family farm and spending time on the lake. I also enjoy golfing and cheering on all the Wisconsin sports teams.
Secret Life
I have yet to receive a response on my application into Mike’s local squirrel observation club.
REBECCA OTTESEN
Senior AP Specialist
Accomplishments
AP Automation has been a big accomplishment for me at Mid-States. I can’t wait for the new version! I have also learned several new skills in my position over the past 3 years.
Extracurricular
I am with my grandson, Noah, every weekday afternoon, and all-day Saturday. I try to make time for a project one of those days or let him paint or do some other activity.
Off the Clock
Off the clock (and on sometimes - shh), I dream of being at the beach. We vacation at the same resort every October, and it is something I look forward to every year. Spending time with my grandson and watching him grow (he is a little too adult for me) has been a rewarding experience.
Secret Life
I love the beach and warm weather; I hate wearing shoes and the cold Wisconsin winters.
REKA EHRENTREU
Payroll Specialist
Accomplishments
I graduated from DePaul University’s MFA in Screenwriting program, which was a dream come true. I’ve been a finalist in various screenwriting and film festivals for screenplay (feature scripts and TV pilots) and for a short film I wrote. Over the last couple of years, I’ve judged the screenplay and film categories for a couple of indie film festivals.
Off the Clock
I take part in various ways with groups that bring awareness to women’s issues. I love to write (mainly comedy and memoir essays), vacation near the beach, and sound bath meditations. I used to photograph and interview bands and dabbled in stand-up comedy before the pandemic. I enjoy storytelling - virtually or in front of a crowd - when I get the chance and recently attended a wonderful storytelling retreat.
Secret Life
I’m a big fan of singer/songwriter Nicole Atkins; she even called me her “Spirit Animal” on social media once. At one of her 2018 concerts, I, along with author and haunted Chicago tour guide Adam Selzer, won the “Slow Dancin’ with Ted Danson” dancing certificate. We danced to “A Little Crazy” and won the coveted prize, beating a couple who was in an actual relationship. Adam sat at the table in front of me, so as soon as I stood up to - presumably - dance alone, he jumped up, faced me, and we danced. And won.

Accomplishments
I am most proud of my amazing, perfectly-imperfect family which includes my wife of 15 years and our two beautiful daughters. As a kid, I had the opportunity to go on many camping adventures with the most exciting being a trip to West Virginia to hike the Blue Ridge Mountains. As part of the trip, I spent a day whitewater rafting the New River and even swam through a “mystery move” (think spin cycle on your washing machine). In February 2024, I was in a car accident resulting in a crushed vertebrae with spine damage, and two broken shoulders. With the support of my family, the healing hands of medical personnel, and the grace of God, I have come from uncertainty whether I was going to walk again to almost full recovery.
Off the Clock
I love to play golf with my family and friends, but don’t be too quick to pick me up for your scramble since I’ve never had a lesson and really am not very good. Even so, I’m always looking for an opportunity to get out on the course or even just into a practice facility. I hunt whitetail deer during the gun season in November. When we get good ice, I enjoy ice fishing around Milton. From May through September my wife and kids and I usually have a few camping trips per month planned. I probably wouldn’t entertain the summer camping without air-con. I’m a cold weather guy and I melt in the heat. I love spending time with my wife taking mini vacations around the state. My oldest daughter has had a passion for horses since she was four, so Mondays are spent at the horse barn. My youngest daughter has dabbled in a variety of extracurriculars, the latest being youth soccer.
Secret Life
Not much of a secret, since you wouldn’t need to spend much time around me to find out I love good food, but I’m a decent cook. But if you enjoyed something I made, good luck getting a recipe since I rarely follow one. Recipes are for baking, cooking is all about taste and feel. My claim to fame is French Fries ala Kevin, but I make some pretty good barbecue, and my favorite is from scratch deep dish Chicago-style pizza.
